The Problem
Today’s fast-changing digital world leaves millions of seniors and underserved individuals without access to technology and skills to use it well. This digital divide brings obstacles to learning, jobs, healthcare and social interactions. Without help, these gaps keep widening, pushing at-risk groups further behind.
Our Mission
The Digital Literacy Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on uplifting seniors and underserved communities with digital education. We believe that access to technology and digital skills is a basic right and we works hard to bridge the digital divide and support digital inclusion.
Our Project
At The Digital Literacy Project, we offer technological help designed to meet the diverse needs of our local community. From digital literacy workshops to device donation, our volunteers are committed to providing solutions that drive meaningful impact in our community.
Digital Literacy Workshops
These sessions will cover essential topics such as basic computer skills, internet safety, productivity software usage, and navigating digital platforms. Each workshop will be designed to be interactive and hands-on, ensuring participants can apply what they learn in real-time.
Device Donation
We collect and refurbish devices (laptops and iPads) from local sources to be distributed in communities that need them. Down the road, we also aim to identify and address these requirements in underserved communities abroad where access to technology is limited.
